Tokiko Sawada

General Manager/Owner of Binchoyaki, has 14 years experience in the food and service industries. Tokiko studied at le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California and has worked as a Sous Chef and Pastry Chef in many kitchens in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Tokiko has successfully opened and managed an upscale bakery restaurant “le Pain Quotidien” and an energetic frozen yogurt shop “Pinkberry” as well as managing at multiple locations for both companies.

Craig Takehara

Chef/Owner of Binchoyaki, and brings 16 years of experience from kitchens large and small. Craig also studied the culinary arts at le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California and has worked his way up through the ranks in many different kitchens with an array of cuisines.He has spent time in different parts of Japan studying the art of Japanese cuisine and now would like to bring his passion for Japanese food here to Sacramento.
